On Wednesday 4th March 2009 saw the last Lodge meeting to be held in the Wrexham Lager Club. The event was marked by a visit of the Roll of Honour Assy President Bro Tony Hall ROH along with his officers. A very enjoyable evening was had by all albeit a sad one in leaving the Club.
The Lodge will now move to the Miners Institute Llay temporarily on a Friday evening. Hopefully very soon we will be able to return to our regular Wednesday evening slot.
The top photograph shows the Lodge members who attended the last meeting. They are left to right Bros Russell Roberts ROH, Iorwerth Lloyd ROH, George Ryall, David Jerman ROH, John Birch KOM and seated Godfrey Tilston ROH HM the oldest member of the province at a young 96 years.

SIR FRANK McGREGOR LODGE No 1956
A SHORT HISTORY
The Sir Frank McGregor Lodge is the oldest Lodge still open in the Province. The dispensation to open the Lodge was granted by Grand Lodge on 27th June 1914. However the dispensation now displayed in the Lodge is dated 1940 which is a duplicate. What became of the original will probably never be known. The Lodge first opened at the Kings Head Hotel Wrexham.
The Lodge has had many homes and until recently met at the Wrexham Lager Club. However on 13th March 2009 the Lodge moved to the Miners Institute at Llay. The last meeting in the Lager Club was attended by the Roll of Honour President and his Officers.
