Members of the Lodge at the last meeting in the Wrexham Lager Club.
On Wednesday 4th March 2009 saw the last Lodge meeting to be held in the Wrexham Lager Club. The event was marked by a visit of the Roll of Honour Assy President Bro Tony Hall ROH along with his officers. A very enjoyable evening was had by all albeit a sad one in leaving the Club.
The Lodge will now move to the Miners Institute Llay temporarily on a Friday evening. Hopefully very soon we will be able to return to our regular Wednesday evening slot.
The top photograph shows the Lodge members who attended the last meeting. They are left to right Bros Russell Roberts ROH, Iorwerth Lloyd ROH, George Ryall, David Jerman ROH, John Birch KOM and seated Godfrey Tilston ROH HM the oldest member of the province at a young 96 years.

LODGE DINNER - 17TH APRIL 2009
The lodge decided to hold a Lodge Dinner on 17th April 2009 but with a slight twist. Plans were set in motion for, according to one member, an ordinary dinner. However with great subtifuge, Bro John Birch got in touch with Bro Godfrey Tilston's sons and invited them to the dinner to make it a special night for Bro Godfrey. Also it was arranged that Bro Godfrey would receive a special award for his services to the Province.
The night arrived and many Brothers of the Province turned up. Bro Godfrey also turned up a bit too early. His family had to be kept out of the way so he would not see them. After everyone was seated Bro Godfrey's family, his son Ian and his wife, his son Michael and his wife and his grandson Ben came into the room. Bro Godfrey's face was a picture (unfortunately no one took one at that moment !!).
After the meal there were speeches from various members of the Brothers assembled but the highlight of the evening was the Presentation to Bro Godfrey by his sons, of the Man of Worth Collarette for services to the Province and the Order.
An enjoyable evening was had by all and we wish Bro Godfrey many more years Buffing.
