My appeal is for the Sleep Apnoea Clinic at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital which covers the whole of North and part of Mid Wales. At present it has approx 450 patients using the CPAP machine and many more awaiting assessment, diagnosis and equipment. The patient is supplied with a machine for as long as they need to control the condition. Wrexham Maelor have only 5 trial machines so there is a waiting list to be assessed. These machines cost fully equipped approx £500. Obviously the cost to ensure every patient has a machine is enormous.
Therefore I wish to raise enough money this year to purchase one or even two machines for the unit. I am therefore looking for approximately £1000, more would be very much appreciated.
Although I know this is not a high profile cause such as SCBU or the Children's Hospice, it is very close to me - I have OSA(Obstructive Sleep Apnoea).
I would like to thank you all in advance for your generous support.
