Salvation Army Ark Appeal Royal National Lifeboat Institution

ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTION

SALVATION ARMY - ARK APPEAL

Since the Institution was founded in the very early 1800's, it has saved many thousands of lives. The Institution is financed entirely by voluntary donations and there is no Government funding. To keep the Lifeboats running it costs approximately £300.000 per DAY. It costs £5185 just to train an RNLI Coxswain. The cost of a complete kit for an inshore crew member is £1,200. There are 233 Lifeboat Stations throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland. All are manned by volunteer crews who give up their time to save lives, many at the loss of theirs. One day it could be your life that is saved !!! Please help in my appeal for this year.

The Salvation Army Ark Appeal has been launched to refurbish the Citadel in Garden Road, Rhosddu, Wrexham. The building needs some urgent attention, including new electrical and heating systems and also a lift. The Salvation Army nationally has collected £200,000 towards the cost but there is still a shortfall of £250,000 to bring the Citadel up to current leagal requirements. The target given is twelve months. The Citadel is not only used for the Corps to worship, but is used by all the Wrexham Community including many support groups, toddler groups, over 60's Club and many more. Please help in my appeal for this year.
