Welcome to the website of the Wrexham and District Province of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes.  We are a part of an International Brotherhood, which was founded in the early 1800's and consists of like minded fellows from 18 years of age upwards, who meet in friendship, converse and in the process raise money for Local and National Charities.  We are non political and non denominational (ie all Religions are welcome).  However Politics and Religion are subjects which we do not discuss in our meetings.

We are part of the Grand Lodge of England, whose head is our Grand Primo.  Grand Lodge is divided into Provinces of which we are one.  The Chief Officer of a Province is the Provincial Grand Primo, who presides over the Provincial Grand Lodge.

Each Province is again divided into individual Lodges, who meet on a regular basis, in towns, cities and villages throughout the country, once a week, or once or twice a month.  Some Provinces also have other sections who meet usually monthly and they are the Knight's Chapter and the Roll of Honour Assembly.

Each year we elect from our members our Grand Primo who serves for that year, along with his Officers.  Each year he will decide on the National Charity for the Order to support for that year.  Also each year the members of Provincial Grand Lodge elect from their members their Provincial Grand Primo and his Officers, and he decides the Charity for the Province to support for that year.  This is usually a Local Charity.

You are very welcome to peruse our website there is nothing secretive about us.  If you want any more information regarding the RAOB then please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Webmaster using the Link Button below.  He will be most happy to answer any of your queries.  He will be able to advise you where you local Lodge is situated if you are at all interested in joining us.

If you are a Lady, then you are not left out.  There are in some Provinces our Sister Organisations called the Glades.  They follow similar rules to the RAOB.

We hope you enjoy your browse of our website and we hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you in person into our Brotherhood.
